Titans add 2 new players to squad

Rotherham Titans have moved to avert an injury crisis at the club by bringing in two dual registered players from Premiership side Bath Rugby.

Centre Rory Jennings and prop forward Sam Nixon have been drafted in at Clifton Lane this week and both go straight into the squad to take on Ealing Trailfinders in the British & Irish Cup tomorrow.

Oxford born Rory Jennings, 21, can play at fly half or in the centres and has been capped for England at U20 level. Jennings made his Aviva Premiership debut for Bath in a 22-12 win against Harlequins in February 2017.

Front rower Sam Nixon, 21, is equally adept at either loose head or tight head. Nixon came through the London Scottish Academy before joining Plymouth Albion for the 2016/17 season where he gained valuable game time in National 1.

Standing at 6ft 5in and weighing 120kg the young prospect boasts a sizable frame. Nixon has featured for Bath United in the Premiership A-League several times this season and has been named on the bench for Bath’s Anglo-Welsh games.
