Titans prepared for tough test at Mowden Park

Rotherham Titans are prepared for a tough National League 1 test when they make their first visit to the Northern Echo Arena to take on Darlington Mowden Park on Saturday; kick-off is 3pm.

Having finished runners-up in the division last term, Mowden will be aiming to go one better this time around and make the leap into the Greene King IPA Championship for next season.

Mowden made the perfect start to their campaign last week as they collected maximum points with a narrow, but impressive 26-23 away win over Bishop’s Stortford.

Titans also impressed in an agonising opening-day 34-33 defeat to Old Elthamians at Clifton Lane. However, they did pick-up 2 valuable bonus points for their labours and confidence is high that with each passing week the gelling process will continue.

Going into the game Titans have made just 2 changes to their starting XV, both of which come in the back line.

On the wing Dan Leake comes in for Henry Roberts, whilst at full back Titans have brought in Harry Davey from Yorkshire Carnegie on dual-registration terms, after Tom Allott returned to University.

Titans: 15 Harry Davey, 14 Dan Leake, 13 Ellis Abrahams, 12 Joe Barker, 11 Connor Field, 10 Callum Irvine, 9 Josh Nott, 1 Jack Bergmanas, 2 Ali Thomson, 3 Rikki Stout, 4 Dan Preston-Routledge, 5 Conor Keys, 6 Luis Ball, 7 Zak Poole, 8 Seb Nagle-Taylor (Capt.).

Replacements: 16 Dan Richardson, 17 Antony Dickinson, 18 Anton Petrowitsch, 19 Connor Dever, 20 Harry Dunne.
