Rotherham Titans are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player, Sam Walsh at the age of 43.
Sam whose position was loosehead prop, made 37 appearances for the Titans and was an integral part of the team that finished runners-up in the Championship to Leeds Tykes in 2006/07.
Jack, Sam’s father, told the Titans, “That he developed into such an impressive effective prop was due in no small measure to the coaching he received at Rotherham.
“He spoke wryly of the 100 live scrums in training sessions under coach Andre Bester.
“He died after a long illness borne with strength and fortitude. He will be sorely missed.”
Our thoughts are with Sam's family and friends at this difficult time.
