We are delighted to announce the signing of Alfie Bell ahead of the new Championship season.
Standing at 6ft 8in, Alfie brings serious size, physicality and pedigree to our pack. The lock came through the Wasps academy before the club’s collapse in 2022, when he was picked up by Exeter Chiefs.
Since then he’s developed through Premiership rugby and dual-registration with Cornish Pirates in the Championship, racking up valuable senior game time in one of the toughest leagues in the country. He’s also represented England at U20 level, capped during his time coming through the Wasps pathway.
Speaking on the move, Alfie said, “Rotherham is a gritty, hardworking team, and that’s something I really want to be part of. I’m looking forward to the Championship season, working hard with the boys, and seeing what we can achieve together.”
